Let me hop on & help.

Install this small, secure screen-sharing app and send me two things — then I can see your screen and sort it out with you. It only runs when you open it, and you can end the session anytime.

  1. Download RustDesk

    Windows Mac · Apple Silicon Mac · Intel

    Not sure which Mac? Apple menu → About This Mac. “Apple M1/M2/M3…” = Apple Silicon.

  2. Open it, then set two fields

    In RustDesk: Settings → Network (click the padlock to unlock), then paste these and Save:

    Leave Relay and API blank. (The key just tells the app to use my server — it isn’t a password and doesn’t give anyone access to your machine.)

  3. Send me your ID + password

    Back on the main screen, RustDesk shows Your ID (nine digits) and a Password. Message both to me, and I’ll connect. You’ll see everything I do, and you can close RustDesk to end it instantly.

You stay in control. Nothing runs in the background — RustDesk is active only while it’s open. I can only connect while you’re showing me the ID and password, and closing the app cuts me off. Prefer to watch first? Keep the window in view the whole time.
